Getting Started at Chicago Dance
Private Lessons
Private Lessons are designed for one-on-one instruction for you, or you and your partner.
New Students – book an Introductory Private Lesson and Consultation for just $47.00
The Introductory 45-minute lesson and consultation will have you dancing on your very first lesson. We will introduce you to the language and basic concepts of dance. This session is essential for designing a program custom-tailored to your specific goals and needs, and includes an assessment of where you are. For those specifically interested in Latin dances such as salsa, we offer a Latin Introductory Lesson.
Discover dance… with an Introductory Private Lesson
When you become a student at Chicago Dance, you will have access to a Dance Advisor. Your Dance Advisor will help familiarize you with the school, answer your questions, and be an on-going resource for you as you learn and grow with Chicago Dance.

Your First Lesson
Plan to arrive 15 minutes early for your first lesson as you will need to complete your registration and fill out a waiver form. Please be sure to let us know about any special circumstances or any injuries. You can also complete most of your registration on the registration page of the website.
Take a private Evaluation & Assessment class
If you are unsure which class would be the best for you, schedule a private Evaluation & Assessment lesson.
An Evaluation & Assessment is a discounted private lesson session where we will match your skills and goals with our classes or with an appropriate personal instructor. This lesson is only available to new students.
Register for a group class on the same day as your evaluation, and you will get a $25 discount for your group class. This offer cannot be combined with other discounts.

Group Classes
Group Classes are a great, inexpensive way to start learning how to dance. We begin by grouping people together who are close to the same skill level. By learning together and rotating partners, your skills will improve quickly. Take a look at our selection of classes; you are sure to find the one for you – from dance exercise classes to learning how to dance Salsa or Ballroom. By keeping the class size limited, you receive personalized instruction while the class is happening to ensure you get the best lesson possible for you. We strive to ensure you leave your dance classes feeling like you accomplished something you didn’t think was possible. The best part is that we do it together, inspiring a community of people to be fit and have fun!
