Chicago Dance Latin & Ballroom School founded in 1976, attracts people from all cultures, ages, and backgrounds.

Chicago Dance offers Ballroom and Latin dance lessons. We teach private lessons and group classes for all kinds of dances, including Swing, Argentine Tango, Nightclub, Salsa, and Waltz, and work with all different levels of students. Our space is also available for special events such as weddings, birthdays, and parties.

The energetic, friendly atmosphere makes for a pleasant learning experience, and students are taught by highly-trained professionals ensuring that each student gains knowledge to feel comfortable and confident on the dance floor.

We are passionate about getting people who have never danced before to try out dancing. Our instructors teach based on their positive attitude, dance experience and their ability and desire to teach others how to dance. This allows for a fun environment as well as high quality instruction. We try to match students with a teacher who meets their needs.

Chicago Dance instructors are certified and have membership in professional dance organizations such as the National Dance Council of America. Many teachers have experience as competing or performing professionals in addition to Bachelors and Masters degrees. There is ongoing instruction for instructors at Chicago Dance, and certification examinations in all styles is an important part of their goal.

In addition to our focus on social dancing, Chicago Dance is also the training ground for several United States National Amateur and Pro/Am Champions and Finalists in Latin, Rhythm, Cabaret and Theatre Arts.

Chicago Dance is the place where innumerable professional instructors, students and dance studio owners in Chicago and around the US received training, taught and studied. Even if you are not taking classes at Chicago Dance there is a good chance that your teacher or your teacher’s teacher studied here.

Dancing is a fun contact sport. Every minute that is spent moving to music with or without a partner will work wonders. Don’t be self-conscious, because learning is what Chicago Dance is all about.
